Career Highlights

  • Played a total of 394 games in his career, in which 354 was consecutively.

  • Kicked for over 100,000 yards in his career (134,301 to be exact).

  • 1st on the CFL All-Time Most Punts in a season with 188. This was done in 1988.

Before joining the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1980 and playing his entire career there, Bob Cameron had an outstanding university career as the quarterback with the University of Acadia Axemen. He is the first Hec Crighton (The Most Outstanding Canadian football player in Canadian University) winner to be inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum.

Throughout his career Cameron's punting performance earned him numerous accolades including being named a Western All-Star six times and a Canadian All-Star four times. He helped the Blue Bombers to six Grey Cup appearances and three Grey Cup victories. He was named the Most Outstanding Canadian in the Grey Cup for his performance during the 1988 game.

Bob Cameron is also inducted into the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame in 2003.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 2010 as a player.
