Career Highlights

  • Played 97 games with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Ed McQuarters excelled at wrestling, track and field, and football. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, McQuarters played two seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals.

McQuarters came to Saskatchewan midway through the 1966 season, and helped the squad attain their first ever Grey Cup victory. McQuarters usually led the rush to the quarterback or ball carrier and scored two touchdowns.

Ed McQuarters is also a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders Plaza of Honour.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1988 as a player.
