Career Highlights

  • The first player to score in four separate Grey Cups.

Frank (Pep) Leadlay began his football career at Central Collegiate in Hamilton where he was a great runner and drop-kicker. After World War I, Leadlay played for the Hamilton Tigers.

Leadley and teammate Harry Batstone were members of Queen's University that recorded 26 consecutive victories. After Leadlay graduated from Queen's University, Leadlay returned to the Tigers. That team won four Interprovincial Rugby Football Union (IPRFU) and two Grey Cups.

Frank (Pep) Leadlay is also a member of the Queen's University Football Hall of Fame and Canada's Sports Hall of Fame.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1963 as a player.
