Edward (Teddy) Reeve specialized in blocking kicks and stopping runners. Even when injured, Reeve frequently astounded spectators and players alike with his intensity and ability.

During the 1930 season, Reeve became the Head Coach of the Malvern Grads out of Toronto where he was until 1932. After Malvern he continued to coach for another 10 seasons. Once Reeve was finished being the head coach, he covered the game through his "Sporting Extras" column in the Toronto Telegram. Teddy Reeve, nicknamed the "Moaner", approached everything with a sense of humour and an unequalled spirit of sportsmanship.

Edward (Teddy) Reeve is also a member of the Lacrosse Hall of Fame, Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and the Football Reporters of Canada Hall of Fame.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1963 as a player.
