Career Highlights

  • Scored points in both his Grey Cup appearences.

Albert (Ab) Box was an All-Star Halfback and a superb Punter who was known for his 60-yard kicks.

Box played under the direction of Head Coach Ted Reeve at Malvern Collegiate in Toronto, and then later with Balmy Beach. He was also a member of Lew Hayman's powerful Toronto Argonauts teams from 1932 until 1934.

Box earned the full respect of both teammates and opponents because of his great talent and sportsmanship.

Ab Box is also a member of Canada's Sports Hall of Fame.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1965 as a player.
