Career Highlights

  • Played 167 games with the Calgary Stampeders.

  • Had an 88-yard fumble return versus the Ottawa Rough Riders on July 12, 1964. This is 3rd all-time on the Calgary Stampeders longest fumble return list.

Don Luzzi, an all-star at Villanova, was an outstanding lineman right from his rookie year. In 1958, Luzzi was selected to the all-star team at both the offensive and defensive tackle positions.

Luzzi's value to the squad was evident when his return from an injury marked the end of a Calgary four-game losing streak during the 1958 season.

Despite injuries in 1959, 1964 and 1969, Luzzi always gave it his all, and helped the Calgary Stampeders in their 1964 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the conference semi-finals.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1986 as a player.
