Career Highlights

  • Scored a touchdown in the 1960 Grey Cup.

Kaye Vaughan played with a quickness, strength and intelligence that earned him all-star honours at four different positions. In 1956 and 1957 he was selected to both the offensive and defensive squads and won the Schenley Award for being the Most Outstanding Lineman award.

Vaughan retired from the Ottawa Rough Riders after the 1964 season, but decided to return to football and play for the Montreal Alouettes in 1966. Two games into the 1966 season, Vaughan broke his leg and retired for good.

Kaye Vaughan is also a member of the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1978 as a player.
