Career Highlights

Greg Battle, a graduate of Arizona State University, came to the CFL in 1987 where he joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
During his two tenures in Winnipeg, the Blue Bombers appeared in the grey cup four times, winning twice in 1988 and 1990. Battle was selected as the top defensive player in the 1990 grey cup, a 50-11 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos.

Battle signed with the Las Vegas Posse in 1994 and later that year was traded to the Ottawa Rough Riders. Battle joined the Memphis Mad Dogs in 1995, and returned to Canada in 1996 and signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He re-signed with Winnipeg for the 1997 season and retired as a member of the Blue Bombers in 1998.

Battle played in 179 regular season games and 10 playoff games. His regular season statistics include 31 interceptions, 26 quarterback sacks and 26 fumble recoveries.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 2007 as a player.
