Officiating Career

Seymour Wilson was a successful player with the Hamilton Tigers from 1930 until 1937, where he won the Grey Cup in 1932. From the time when he joined the Tigers in 1930, Wilson was an official for amateur teams.

After his playing career, Wilson officiated senior-level teams for the IPRFU, and in 1958 began on-field duties with the newly organized CFL.

Seymour Wilson retired in 1970, after having worked as umpire, head linesman and referee in 10 Grey Cup games.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1984 as a builder.
