Career Highlights

  • Had three 1,000 receiving yards seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos. This was from 1963 until 1965 (as of 2014).

Tommy Joe Coffey was a solid receiver and place kicker throughout his 14-year career.

Coffey scored a total of 971 points on 65 touchdowns, 204 converts, 108 field goals and 53 singles in his career. He was the Canadian Football League (CFL) scoring leader in 1962, 1967, and 1969. Coffey caught 650 passes for 10,320 yards, and was the CFL pass reception leader in 1962, 1964, 1965, and 1969.

Tommy Joe Coffey is honoured on the Edmonton Eskimos Wall of Fame and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Wall of Honour.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1977 as a player.
