Harry (Bud) Grant was an excellent Offensive End with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1953 until 1956. While playing with Winnipeg, he was the West's leading pass receiver three of the four years.

He was selected All-Western in 1953, 1954, and 1956 with the Bombers, and during a 1953 playoff game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Grant intercepted five passes.

During his ten years as head coach with the Winnipeg, Grant led the team to 122 wins, 67 losses and 3 ties. Winnipeg appeared in the playoffs eight times and advanced to the Grey Cup six times, winning four, each time over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Grant, nicknamed "The Iceman", returned home to the United States to coach in 1967 and continued his winning tradition.

Harry (Bud) Grant is also a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1983 as a builder.
