Career Highlights

  • Played 160 straight games for the Edmonton Eskimos.

  • 2nd on the Edmonton Eskimos All-Time Passes thrown in game with 51. This was done on July 18, 1977 against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

  • Threw for 18,864 yards as an Edmonton Eskimo.

During his 15 seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL), Tom Wilkinson completed 1,613 passes for 22,579 yards and 154 touchdowns. Wilkinson led the Eskimos to eight Grey Cups, winning five, all of them with the Edmonton Eskimos.

While Tom Wilkinson did not particularly look like a quarterback, he possessed the leadership qualities and total team commitment that made him one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in CFL history.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1987 as a player.
