Executive Career

Head Coach and General Manager of the Edmonton Eskimos
1949 - 1951

Head Coach and General Manager of the BC Lions
1954, 1955

Annis (Stuke) Stukus played 12 seasons, six different positions, including quarterback, and was a member of Grey Cup winning teams in 1937 and 1938.

While he was the Head Coach and General Manager of the new Edmonton franchise, Stukus occasionally performed the kicking duties for the team. Stukus recruited excellent players and launched some outrageous promotions.

Stukus went to Vancouver in 1953 to assist in the organization of the BC Lions and once again put his promotional abilities to good use.
The Canadian Football League (CFL) has annually presented the "Annis Stukus trophy" to the CFL coach of the year.

Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in 1974 as a builder.
