Researchers are encouraged to personally come to the museum’s library and conduct research themselves.  Appointments must be made at least two weeks prior to the day you wish to research. 

Fee:  $20.00 per hour  +  HST

RESEARCH (Staff Assisted)

Research can be undertaken by staff on behalf of other persons or organizations.  Every research request is charged a fee.  The exact charge for the service will vary depending upon the request.  Requests taking under 15 minute will be considered a General Inquiry.

While the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum has an extensive library and archives there is no guarantee that the information you request will be available within our facility.  The basic fee will be charged  no matter what the research results are.

Fee:  $50.00 per hour  +  HST

GENERAL INQUIRIES

General inquiries are research requests that take less than 15 minutes but that involve accessing the collections to facilitate the answer.

Fee:  $20.00  +  HST

PHOTO DUPLICATION                                                Click here for Image Use Agreement

The Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum collections include thousands of photographs of teams, individuals, and game action.  When it is not an infringement of copyright, photos can be duplicated.  Photos must be for personal use and not commercial purposes.  You will be asked to sign a copyright clearance letter indicating your agreement to abide by the regulations. 

The fee for such requests depends on the number of photos and their duplicated size.  All requests will be charged a minimum of $20.00.

Fee: High Resolution JPEG  $50.00 + HST

Black and White or Colour Prints:
8 x 10     $70.00
11 x 14   $85.00
16 x 20   $95.00
20 x 24   $110.00

All of the above prices are subject to HST.  If photo are being shipped to the customer there will be an additional shipping & handling fee based on the geographic location of the receiver. 

PUBLICATION FEES

When photographs are used in a commercial publication, a $20.00  +  HST per photo publication fee is applicable.  This fee only applies when the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum owns the copyright.  It is assumed the photo will be used one time only, and the publication fee will apply again for any subsequent use.  A photo credit citing the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum will be required at the time of publication.

In the case of materials for which the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum does not own the copyright, it will be the responsibility of the requesting party to obtain such permission.

VIDEO DUPLICATION

The Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum has thousands of films and video tapes in its collection.  Where it is not an infringement of copyright, video duplication is available. 

Video must be for personal use, and not for any commercial purposes.  You will be asked to sign a copyright clearance letter indicating your agreement to abide by the regulations. 

Please contact the Hall of Fame with your specific video request in order to receive a price quote. 

LICENSING FEE

When film footage is used in a commercial project a $20.00 + HST per second licensing fee is applicable.  This fee only applies when the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum owns the copyright.  It is assumed the footage will be used one time only, and the licensing fee will apply again for subsequent use.  A credit citing is the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum is required when the footage is aired. 

In the case of materials for which the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum does not own the copyright, it will be the responsibility of the requesting party to obtain such permission. 

FILMING FEE

$50.00 per hour + HST for on-site filming.  After hours filming will be $100 per hour + HST.  All filming requests must receive two weeks advance notice and is subject to staff availability. 

PHOTOCOPIES

The requestor is responsible for the cost of all photocopies that occur as a result of their research request.

Fee:  $0.25 per page + HST

SHIPPING AND HANDLING

The requestor is responsible for shipping and handling that is a result of their research request.  The fee for shipping and handling varies depending on the geographic location of requestor.  Any courier of shipments will be marked “collect”.
