FOOTBALL CANADA/CFL AWARD FOR SERVICE TO AMATEUR FOOTBALL 1986

Joe Pistilli was involved with all levels of junior football in Quebec for 42 years, as well as being involved on a national level with Football Canada for 29 years.  His volunteering career started as the house announcer, secretary, and general manager of the Châteauguay Raiders, part of the Quebec Senior Football League. He was actively involved in coaching minor football in Châteauguay with the Châteauguay Ramblers, as well as being responsible for all coaching, referring, and supervising volunteers through his role as VP of operations with the Châteauguay Minor Football Association.  

He also helped to fundraise for the Football Canada and Football Quebec.  In 1977, he successfully planned a Red Storey Roast which took place during Grey Cup and raised over $20,000.

He has been active in the administration of Football Canada serving as the Vice-President of Administration from 1986-1991, as well as serving as President from 1992-2000.  At the time of his induction Joe Pistilli is still active as the President of the Quebec Junior Football League.
