Frank (Pep) Leadlay began his career at Central Collegiate in Hamilton, Ontario. Leadlay played one year of intermediate footbal then, after the first world war, played for the Hamilton Tigers’ senior squad.

Leadley and teammate Harry Batstone were members of the Queen’s Golden Gaels team that recorded 26 consecutive victories. After graduation, he was on the Tigers’ squad that won four interprovincial and two Grey Cup championships.

Frank (Pep) Leadlay was a great runner and drop-kicker.  He is also honoured at the Queen’s University Football Hall of Fame and Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame.
