The Canadian Football Hall of Fame & Museum offers two in-house education programs. These two programs provide students with the opportunity to discover the exciting and unique history of Canadian football and learn about the players and builders who have provided valuable contributions to the sport and their communities. Each program is curriculum aligned and will provide students with the opportunity to have a guided tour of the exhibits, plus enjoy hands-on activities and demonstrations. Students will complete their tour by visiting the "Collector's Zone" where they can purchase a keepsake of their visit.

HISTORY OF THE GREY CUP

• Level: Grade 5-7
• Components of the program can be modified for JK - Grade 4 students.
• Duration: 120 minutes.
• Program is curriculum aligned with Math, Science, Language, Social Studies, and History and Phys Ed.
• Students will explore the museum to learn about the History of Canada's greatest sporting tradition: The Grey Cup game and the Grey Cup trophy.
• Students will examine Grey Cup artefacts and learn about classic Grey Cup games and the stories behind them.
• Special emphasis will be placed on Hall of Fame members who have participated in Grey Cup games.

SUIT HIM UP:  THE EVOLUTION OF FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT

• Level: Grade 5-7
• Components of the program can be modified for JK - Grade 4 students.
• Duration: 120 minutes.
• Program is curriculum aligned with Math, Science, Language, Social Studies, and History.
• Student's will view football equipment on display throughout the museum and get a close-up look at footballs, helmets, jerseys, and other equipment used over the years.
• In the early 1900's. players incurred a great deal of physical injury due to the lack of equipment worn until protective gear was designed and evolved into what we see today.  ]
• Students will also have the opportunity to try on football equipment.
